Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 August 2026
These terms cover the Corlang app and the corlang.app website. They are written in plain English rather than legalese, and they describe how Corlang actually works. Using the app means you accept them.
Corlang is made by one person. There is no company behind it, no investors, and no sales team.
What Corlang is
Corlang is a language-learning app: a fixed, day-by-day course with spaced-repetition review, built to prepare you for real use of a language and for the official exams that go with it.
It prepares you for exams. It does not award anything. No certificate, qualification, or proof of level comes from Corlang. Only the official examining body can give you that. Our mock exams follow the published format and syllabus as closely as we can, and passing one inside the app is practice, not a result.
No account
There is no sign-up, no login and no password. Your progress lives on your device. That has a consequence worth knowing: if you uninstall without exporting a backup, your progress is gone and we cannot recover it, because we never had it. Use Profile, then Backup, before you switch phones.
What costs money
- The first level of every course is free, permanently, with no trial that expires.
- Course unlocks are one-time purchases, per language. Each unlock includes the levels below it, and what you buy stays bought, including after a reinstall, as long as you use the same Google account.
- The AI tutor is a separate monthly subscription. It renews until you cancel it, and you cancel it in Google Play, not here.
Prices are shown in the app in your own currency before you buy anything.
Payments and refunds go through Google
All payments are handled by Google Play, not by us. We never see your card. Refunds, cancellations and billing problems are governed by Google Play's terms and are requested through Google Play. We cannot issue a refund ourselves, and asking us will only delay you. If Google refunds a purchase, the corresponding access ends.
Nothing here affects the consumer rights you have under the law of the country you live in, including any statutory right to cancel or to a refund. Those rights come first.
Fair use of the AI tutor
The tutor sends what you type to a language model, which costs real money to answer, so the subscription includes a daily message allowance. The app shows you how many messages you have left, and the allowance resets each day.
The tutor is a language tutor and nothing else. It has no access to the internet, no current information, and it will decline questions outside language learning.
Language models make mistakes. The tutor can be confidently wrong about grammar, a word, or a fact. Treat it as a patient practice partner, not as an authority, and never rely on it for anything that matters, including anything to do with an exam, a visa, or an application.
What you agree not to do
- Use the AI endpoint for anything other than learning inside the app, including scripted or automated requests.
- Extract, republish or resell the course content. It is ours, and a great deal of work went into it.
- Try to bypass the paywall or the message allowance.
We can end access for accounts doing these things, without a refund for the abuse.
Your data
Corlang has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. What little leaves your device, and why, is set out in full in the privacy policy.
The app is provided as it is
Corlang is offered without any warranty. We work hard to make the content correct, and it is checked by automated gates and by a native speaker before it ships, but we do not promise it is free of errors, that the app will always be available, or that using it will produce any particular result in an exam or in life.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. We do not limit liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
These terms will change as the app does. The date at the top says when they last did. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes rather than slipped in quietly.
